Projects with Multiple Authors

- If the project combines texts from multiple sources and with different authors, it should be set up as a collection, with the authors entered into the section metadata (see Special Instructions for Collections – Entering Section Metadata) and credited in the recorded intros.
- If the project uses a single text source with sections/chapters written by different authors, it should be set up as a regular book project. The name(s) of the author(s) who contributed to a given section should be included in the section title, both in the Magic Window and in the recorded intro. Do not enter the names of the authors in the author fields of the Project Template Generator; use "Various" or the name(s) of the editor(s) instead. The editor(s) may nor may not be credited in the recorded intros. You can also enter the names of all the authors as keywords.
- If the project uses a single text source co-authored by multiple authors in its entirety, they could be treated as a single author (like Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm) or listed individually as project authors.
- If the book includes a preface or introduction written by someone other than the book's author, that person should be credited in the section title and recorded intro for that section, but not listed as an author for the project.
